Planned Tree Trimming

 
Canadian Niagara Power's Tree Trimming Program is intended to help protect the public, protect property and maintain electric reliability. Canadian Niagara Power implements accepted professional standards for the pruning of trees near power lines. This program provides safe, reliable and inexpensive electricity. We must keep trees that are located near power lines pruned on a regular cycle. We trim trees a certain distance away from the power lines to allow for growth until the trees are trimmed during the next cycle.

Below are the planned tree trimming areas that are scheduled.


Port Colborne & Fort Erie Areas

Important Notice - Tree Trimming
 
In order to better serve our customers, Canadian Niagara Power Inc. ("CNPI")
has contracted Pineridge Tree Service to perform tree trimming in the following
areas starting in January of 2012:

Crescent Park Area
Please note that Pineridge Tree Service will be working on Saturdays in the month of February in your area. Please feel free to contact our office with any questions or concerns.

Port Colborne Tree Trimming Area
Downtown Port Colborne West of Canal
South of "Forks Rd W" to the lake.
East of "Townline Rd" to the West side of the canal.
East of "Cement Plant Rd" to the West side of the canal.
Fort Erie Tree Trimming Area
Crystal Beach, Ridgeway, Stevensville areas
South of "Netherby Rd" to the Lake.
East of "Burger Rd" to "Winger Rd".
East of "Mathews Rd" to "Burleigh RD"
CNPI’s tree trimming program is intended to help protect the public, protect
property and maintain electric reliability. CNPI implements accepted
professional standards for the pruning of trees near power lines.
