This position will provide effective and productive project design and project management for major engineering projects within FortisOntario. As part of the engineering team, the successful candidate will participate in the development of FortisOntario’s Asset Management plan, GIS, OMS, and distribution planning studies. The responsibilities of this position also include capital budget development, project variance analysis, and Regulation 22/04 execution. The incumbent will establish and maintain positive customer relationships, along with foster harmonious labour relations, seek process improvement opportunities as well as ensure compliance to Company polices and all applicable legislated codes.
 
Qualifications for this position include eligibility for Professional Engineer status in Ontario; preferably with a few years of power utility experience with an understanding of the basic theories of power systems and distribution system planning. This will be in addition to proven superior communication and interpersonal skills and working knowledge of Microsoft office. Must be able to work independently and take the initiative.
