Important notice to Canadian Niagara Power residential customers

Ontario Energy Board (“OEB”) directive:  Power will be restored at no charge to those residential customers currently disconnected for non-payment, for the period through April 30, 2017.  Additionally, load limiters will also be removed at no charge to those customers affected.  For those customers to be reconnected, we require a signed copy of the reconnection waiver.  A copy of the waiver is available for download here.
Canadian Niagara Power Inc. is committed to providing affected customers with a timely response to this directive.  Details of the full OEB decision and order can be found here.

Canadian Niagara Power has heard its Customers.  A “new” dedicated telephone number is now in place for our Customers to report power outages/emergencies.    Our new telephone number has the capacity to manage higher volume calls during power outages 24/7.  Please report any Power Outage/Emergency by dialing:

An insert will be included with your June electrical bill for your convenience and for quick access in case of an outage.

LOCAL ELECTRIC UTILITIES LAUNCH THE 'MY ENERGY KIT' PROGRAM FOR RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMERS

FORT ERIE, ON (April 18, 2016) ‐ Canadian Niagara Power Inc.is pleased to announce the launch of ‘My Energy Kit’, a local Save On Energy pilot program to assist residential customers in reducing their energy consumption.

The 'My Energy Kit' program provides residential customers with an opportunity to build their own FREE energy‐saving kit with a value of up to $500 per home. Qualifying customers will be asked to complete an online questionnaire to determine what products would help them save the most amount of energy at home. Once an order is placed, a kit will be custom made and shipped directly to their homes, free of charge. Additional products may also be purchased at a discounted price, to help customers who are looking for an even greater level of savings.

"We are very excited to be offering this revolutionary new program to our residential customers, a first in Canada," said Glen King, Vice‐President Finance and Chief Financial Officer of FortisOntario. "The 'My Energy Kit' program was designed to provide residential customers with energy efficient products catered to their individual needs, helping them save money by maximizing the energy savings at home."
 
The program is funded by the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) and only available while quantities last. Products include LED light bulbs, smart power strips, faucet aerators for usage with electric hot water, weatherization items and more.
